Michelle received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside and her law degree from Southwestern Law School.
Her practice emphasizes the areas of construction, insurance defense and professional liability litigation – with significant experience in representing especially contractors, architects, engineers, and other design professionals in eight and nine-figure claims concerning construction, contract negotiations, defect, cost overrun and delay claims through all aspects of trial and arbitration. In addition, Ms. Berger provides general counsel to private and public universities, corporations and design professional firms, among others.
Before joining Berger Harrison, Michelle was a partner for over a decade at the Orange County based law firm of Murtaugh Meyer Nelson & Treglia, where she served as one of the managing partners and a member of the Executive Committee.
She is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), Professional Liability Underwriters Society (PLUS), and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel.
Michelle has two children (and two dogs!) and lives with her husband in South Orange County.
